Date:9/5/2013

Greenwood Village, Colorado (PRWEB) September 05, 2013

Colorado State University-Global Campus (CSUGlobal.edu) today announced the launch of its new online Bachelor of Science in Human Services degree program. Students will learn the practical knowledge necessary for assisting others in individual, family, group, organization, and community settings and will be well-prepared for a wide variety of positions in this exciting field.

"Human Services is about making an impact in the lives of others and this comprehensive degree takes an applied learning approach to the community and social issues of today,” said Dr. Becky Takeda-Tinker, President for Colorado State University-Global Campus. “Students interested in pursuing or advancing their career as a care giver, probation officer, case worker, or continuing on to become a counselor or social worker will greatly benefit from the in-depth knowledge, pertinent skills, and best practices included in this degree."

This fully accredited online program is unique in that it includes an option for a practicum for students who currently work in a relevant position. Eligible students will be able to directly use what they are learning for their professional development through this hand-on approach and complete their capstone on a project tied to their specific career and involvement. Additional areas of study throughout the degree include human development, intervention methods, crisis prevention, case management, and human services administration.

CSU-Global classes start every four weeks year round. Its accelerated 8-week terms and maximum allowable transfer credits help students complete their bachelor’s degree faster and on their schedule. The university also offers an exclusive Tuition Guarantee that locks in a student’s low tuition rate through to graduation. Students interested in learning more should contact an Admissions Counselor at 1-800-920-6723 or can apply online at CSUGlobal.edu/apply.
