Colorado Heart Gallery Places 31 Children in Adoptive Homes With Sponsorship From Sundyne

ARVADA, Colo., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The State of Colorado has recognized Sundyne Corp., a Hamilton Sundstrand Industrial business, for its generous support of the Heart Gallery program to place children in adoptive homes. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

The Heart Gallery is supported by professional photographers who create and donate portraits of children looking to be placed in permanent homes with families forever. The Colorado Department of Human Services began the state program in 2006 to bring awareness to the public of hard-to-place children. Sundyne sponsored the reception at the Denver History Museum for the 27 professional photographers who volunteered to take 61 children's portraits last year.

"This is the first time that a corporation has ever approached us to sponsor the Heart Gallery in Colorado," said Laurel Moore, Colorado foster care and adoption retention and recruitment specialist. "Over the past year, 31 of the Colorado Heart Gallery children were placed in adoptive homes," she said.

"At Sundyne, we believe in investing in families to make the world a better place," said Ingrid Russell, Sundyne's corporate Finance director.

"We sponsor family-oriented organizations like the Heart Gallery in order to live the corporate value of caring about the world in which we live," said Marie Weiss-Rich, Sundyne's worldwide Human Resources director.

The Heart Gallery was started in New Mexico in 2001. Since its inception 42 states have adopted the program. Last year 61 children were featured in portraits on display in the rotunda of the Colorado Capitol building and in D
