Aging Specialist to Consult with Award-Winning Mind Fitness Company
WASHINGTON, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- (Aging in America Conference, Booth #1317) -- CogniFit, Ltd., the company that uses the latest scientific research to develop easy-to-use software that will enhance human cognitive performance and health, today announced that it will employ the services of Gloria Cavanaugh, long-time president of the American Society on Aging (ASA), as a consultant.
"CogniFit is always looking to work with individuals that represent excellence," said Dr. Shlomo Breznitz, Founder and President of CogniFit. "And Gloria Cavanaugh truly represents excellence and expertise through her 31 years as ASA President. Her reputation precedes her as an outstanding specialist in the field of aging, and her contribution and unmatched network of aging professionals will undoubtedly be a great asset to the growth of our company in the U.S."
"Having long been an advocate for brain health and well-being for older adults, I am thrilled to be working with CogniFit," said Cavanaugh, President of Gloria Cavanaugh Consulting. "I have a great deal of respect and enthusiasm for CogniFit's Mind Fitness Solutions products and look forward to playing a valuable role in the company's sales and growth in the U.S. market."
Cavanaugh retired in 2006 as President and CEO of the San Francisco-based American Society on Aging, the largest professional association in the field of aging; she had held that position for 31 years. She led the organization from being a regional association to a national one with over 6,000 members -- currently the largest professional association in the field of aging. Under Cavanaugh's direction, the ASA achieved a reputation as a premier source of education, training and information on aging, offering dozens of conferences and training programs. In addition to managing her San Francisco-based consulting practice, Cavanaugh currently serves on the boards of several organizations and coalitions, and has served as a delegate to the last four White House Conferences on Aging.
CogniFit also announced that the company will be working with Nancy Luttropp, CEO of Fort Collins, Colorado-based OPS Consulting.
"Nancy's extensive background in senior housing and her contacts from serving on the American Society on Aging's awards committee gives us a unique opportunity to tap into some valuable resources through working with her," said Breznitz.
Luttropp has worked with a variety of corporations and organizations focused on issues relating to the senior population and aging, providing customized training programs, seminar and event development and community outreach. She has also served as a delegate to the White House Conference on Aging.
