Coastal Contacts, the world's largest online retailer of contact lenses and eyeglasses, launches their Back-To-School Kids Glasses Deals, aiming to help kids and teens in need of vision correction to afford eyeglasses for the new school year.

Vancouver, BC (Vocus) August 5, 2009 -- Coastal Contacts, the world's largest online retailer of contact lenses and eyeglasses, launches their Back-To-School Kids Glasses Deals, aiming to help kids and teens in need of vision correction to afford eyeglasses for the new school year.

August is National Children's Vision and Learning Month, declared in 1995 with the goal of helping educate parents and educators about the critical link between vision and learning, according to the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

Coastal Contacts is offering a wide range of eyeglasses for children and teens for $19.95 including lenses, throughout August to ensure that every child has access to eyeglasses.

"Back-to-school is such an exciting and important time in a child's life. The last thing they need to worry about is if they will be able to see the chalk board clearly," stated Coastal Contacts COO, Steve Bochen.

Vision problems in children and teens can affect learning and it is very important to determine if your child has learning- related visual problems as soon as possible. Almost 80 per cent of what a child learns in school is taken in visually. An undetected vision problem can make learning to read, and answering questions from the blackboard difficult and embarrassing for students.
