Tuggle is senior vice president of Global Public Affairs and Communications at The Coca-Cola Company. He joined the company in 1989 and has held a variety of positions in the U.S. and abroad where he helped develop and maintain key initiatives for the organization.
"We are honored to have Clyde Tuggle join our board of directors," said Joseph A. Califano, Jr., CASA's chairman and former U.S. Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare. "His forward thinking, outreach skills and initiatives, and commitment to help children grow up drug free will strengthen CASA's work greatly."
"Joining CASA's Board and helping Joe Califano and the organization continue their work to educate Americans about substance abuse is a tremendous honor," said Tuggle. "My goal is to build upon The Coca-Cola Company's longstanding commitment to CASA and its initiatives to combat substance abuse. We have seen firsthand, through our work on programs like CASA's Family Day, that providing simple, effective means to help parents talk to their children can prevent the start of the vicious spiral of substance abuse."
Tuggle's election is just the latest partnership between CASA and the legendary beverage maker. The Coca-Cola Company, a founding CASA supporter, has contributed over $1 million to CASA since 1992 and has been instrumental in supporting CASA's Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner With Your Children(TM)'/>"/>
