Within3's Online Network for Physicians, Researchers, and Medical Organizations Growing Rapidly with Thousands of Community Members Worldwide

CLEVELAND, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Within3 today introduced Lance Hill as the new CEO of the growing company that has created an online platform for physicians, researchers, and medical organizations worldwide. Members use Within3's social networking platform -- http://www.within3.com -- as a professional tool, where they can develop their online identity, establish and strengthen professional relationships, find and filter information, and identify opportunities for professional development and innovation in their field.

Co-Founder Michael Markus, Ph.D. says, "With thousands of current community members, the company is growing rapidly. With Mr. Hill's arrival, we are poised to extend our lead as the premier international, interdisciplinary community for physicians, researchers, and groups in the health sciences. Hill brings a breadth of business management experience in the high-tech industry, as well as a proven track record in both delivering products as well as growing revenues."

Since its official launch earlier this year, Within3 has rapidly increased its membership via partnerships with premier medical organizations such as Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Department of Psychiatry Residency Training Program, MetroHealth System in Cleveland, PrometeoNetwork, American Association of Technology in Psychiatry, and Mumbai- based Tata Memorial Cancer Center.

Prior to joining the Within3 executive team, Hill served as vice president and general manager of service oriented architecture (SOA) solutions for webMethods Corporation, a global player in the enterprise software market with total annual revenues exceeding $200 million. Hill spearheaded webMethods' SOA business, including corporate and go-to-market strategy, business development, sales execution, and product development. Under his leadership, webMethods' SOA business experienced consistent high growth. The success of this business unit contributed strongly to the 25 percent premium awarded to webMethods upon its acquisition by Software AG in June 2007.

Prior to this role, Hill served as vice president of product and solutions marketing at webMethods, where he led a number of global, strategic initiatives focused on the development, commercialization, and adoption of webMethods' business process integration software.

Before joining webMethods, Mr. Hill served as the vice president of enterprise engineering and later the fusion technology group for National City Bank. In this capacity, he spearheaded the creation of an internal, end-to- end solution delivery and support organization with responsibilities for integration, application development, workflow, imaging, business intelligence and portal technology.

Hill began his career in consulting, serving a number of years as an e- Business consultant with ISSC / IBM Global Services where he was responsible for generating training, methodology and best practices for IBM in addition to delivering enterprise consulting expertise to Fortune 2000 clients.

Within3 fuses social network science and proprietary Internet technology to enable a valuable online network for physicians, researchers and medical organizations worldwide (http://www.within3.com). Within3 is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a portfolio company of BioEnterprise, a non-profit business accelerator chartered by the Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals, and Summa Health Care.
