Wednesday, July 10, 2013, Cleveland: Cleveland Clinic Laboratories will now be the main provider of specialized testing and diagnostics services for ACL Laboratories, one of the largest hospital system laboratories in the United States.
As part of the relationship, Cleveland Clinic Laboratories will offer its highly specialized expertise in esoteric testing. ACL Laboratories and their two pathology groups will also be able to confer with Cleveland Clinic Laboratories pathologists for second opinions and subspecialty consultation leading to expert diagnosis.
"This agreement lays the foundation for improving patient care by optimizing lab diagnostics," said David Bosler, M.D., Head of Cleveland Clinic Laboratories. "It will help both organizations prepare for the ever-changing landscape of laboratory medicine, setting the stage for improved patient outcomes at the right cost."
