Clearwave Announces New Partnership with East Side Endoscopy, Implementing Self-Service Check-In
Date:2/15/2016

Clearwave Corporation is pleased to announce a new association with East Side Endoscopy located in New York City. In an effort to bring patients the best technology advancements in healthcare, East Side implemented the self-service check-in system to streamline the front office process and to make the check-in process simpler and easier for patients.

East Side Endoscopy’s goal is to make every patient’s visit as pleasant as possible, and by implementing Clearwave kiosks the process is faster and more efficient. With Clearwave, scheduling stress has been reduced; Clearwave’s real-time updates allow the staff to schedule the patient’s appointment and view their deductible information, all in the same phone call.

East Side Endoscopy is a part of the larger organization, Physicians Endoscopy, and is located in Manhattan, New York. East Side Endoscopy is a New York State certified ambulatory surgical center, accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, and specializes in providing the highest quality gastrointestinal endoscopy services to their patients. Their staff operates at the highest standards of safety and infection control and offers a relaxed atmosphere for their patients.

“Clearwave has reduced the time it takes our staff to check patients in, allowing our staff more time to give our patients the attention they deserve. And the real-time eligibility updates are really helpful for our schedulers when they are on the phone with a patient; we can tell the patient everything they need to know about their next visit in one phone call, and it makes the patients feel much more prepared” stated Helen Lowenwirth, Administrator of East Side Endoscopy.

East Side Endoscopy has a heart for the community, and shows it through their Charity Care Program, an important part of the Center’s charter and mission to provide high quality care to the community. They are committed to raising awareness and providing education about the importance of colonoscopy screening to prevent colorectal cancer. They provide free screening colonoscopy to uninsured patients and to those with limited means or ability to pay.

“East Side Endoscopy’s care for the health of their community makes it an honor to be their partner. To partner with a center that gives so much back to their own community reminds us of why we built this solution. Our mission and goal is to reduce the administrative burden on practices so they can focus on caring for their patients. Clearwave helps East Side Endoscopy get back to what’s important, and that’s providing a great service” says Eric Anderson, COO with Clearwave Corporation.

Clearwave’s state of the art patient registration station tightly integrates to any PM or HIS including: Allscripts, Athena, Greenway, GE, NextGen, Cerner, Compulink, McKesson and Meditech. Data from the patient’s driver’s license and insurance cards is read using optical character recognition, eliminating typos and speeding up registration. Clearwave is connected to over 700 insurance companies, providing real-time insurance verification.
