Clarity PSO Celebrates Five Years as a Patient Safety Organization with a Report to Healthcare Providers

On November 18, 2013, Clarity PSO will embark on its sixth year as one of the leading Patient Safety Organizations in the country. Over the past five years, Clarity PSO has been a trailblazer in providing the types of patient safety activities envisioned by AHRQ when the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act (PSQIA) was first signed back in 2005 and became effective in February of 2009. Clarity PSO offers its clients industry leading patient safety expertise and state-of-the-art data collection and analysis, and through its five (5) year history has helped healthcare providers better understand the important implications of the PSQIA. “Since becoming one of the first PSOs listed with AHRQ, we have provided PSO services for providers all across the healthcare spectrum. Our expertise and knowledge of how the PSQIA is intended to work and the protections and benefits it affords enables us to provide a level of service and quality of reporting to our clients that is second to none,” states Tom Piotrowski, Executive Director of Clarity PSO.

In releasing the Clarity PSO Five-Year Report to Healthcare Providers, Clarity hopes to further educate the healthcare community on the benefits of the PSQIA in general, and specifically on working with Clarity PSO to access its industry leading capabilities in this important area. Tom goes on to say, “This report is truly the culmination of the past five years of work and dedication on behalf of Clarity PSO and our clients to the patient safety movement.
