Florida-Based Health Insurer Hires 200th Employee

Momentum Builds for Company's Unique Low-Cost Coverage As U.S. Families Grapple with Health Care Insurance Crisis

AVENTURA, Fla., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Cinergy Health, a nationwide provider of health insurance benefit programs for the consumer market, today announced the hiring of the company's 200th employee.

The company's health insurance program serves the approximately 47 million people in the United States unable to afford health insurance or who cannot qualify for coverage as a result of their health conditions. Interestingly, the fastest growing segment of the uninsured comes from mid-to-upper income households as the cost of health insurance premiums escalates to intolerable levels. The U.S. Census Bureau reports households with annual incomes of $50,000 or more represent nearly 40 percent of the uninsured. In addition, there are the young and healthy, a group of more than 18 million individuals aged 18 to 34 who have no coverage.
