About Dr. Paul Cheney:
For over 25 years, Dr. Paul Cheney has pioneered clinical research into CFS. He has lectured around the world on chronic fatigue syndrome and is an internationally recognized authority on the subject.

He has authored or co-authored over 35 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and conference abstracts including three landmark studies in PNAS (1991), the Annals of Internal Medicine (1992) and Clin Inf Dis (1994).

In addition to decades of CFS experience going back to the initial Lake Tahoe CFS epidemic in 1985, Dr. Cheney has developed techniques, observations and conceptual approaches that have been clinically tested and subjected to peer review at international conferences as well as in medical publications.

His pre-medical educational background as a physicist (PhD, Duke Univ.) and research associate in the Division of Tumor Immunology at the CDC (1976-77), are important in his efforts to seek out and understand fundamental principles operating in the management of complex medical illnesses such as CFS.

About The Cheney Clinic:
The Cheney Clinic was established in February 1990. In 2001 it moved to its present location of Asheville, in the western mountains of North Carolina.
