China Medical Technologies to Announce Financial Results for the First Quarter Ended June 30, 2008 on August 4, 2008

BEIJING, July 24 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Medical Technologies, Inc. (the "Company") (Nasdaq: CMED), a leading China-based medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets advanced in-vitro diagnostic products and high intensity focused ultrasound tumor therapy systems, today announces that it will report its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008 ("1Q FY2008") before the U.S. market opens on August 4, 2008. The Company's fiscal year ends on March 31. The Company's CEO, Mr. Xiaodong Wu, CFO, Mr. Sam Tsang and CTO, Dr. Zhong Chen will host an earnings conference call at 8:00 a.m., Eastern Time on the same day of the earnings announcement (8:00 p.m. Beijing/Hong Kong time).
