Children's National Medical Center Program Director to Provide Expertise to DiabeTeens.com, The HealthCentral Network's Teen Diabetes Site

ARLINGTON, Va., July 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The HealthCentral Network, Inc. (http://www.HealthCentral.com) today announced that Dr. Fran Cogen, MD, director of the Childhood and Adolescent Diabetes Program at Children's National Medical Center, will provide her expertise to HealthCentral's DiabeTeens.com, a site offering connections to a community of teens with diabetes.

Dr. Cogen, along with appropriate consultation by a dietician, social worker, and a psychologist from her Diabetes Program at Children's National, will write a weekly blog for DiabeTeens.com. Dr. Cogen will also provide answers to teen questions and give tips for healthy diabetes management. A 15-year veteran of treating teens with pediatric diabetes, Dr. Cogen was named one of 2007's best doctors in America by Best Doctors Inc. She will lend her expertise to address teens' concerns and help them take an active role in their health.

DiabeTeens.com provides teenagers with diabetes a place to ask questions, get information and connect with one another, sharing the true experiences of living with diabetes day to day.
