Charles A. Peck, M.D., F.A.C.P. Joins LifeMasters as New Medical Director Focused on Client Experience

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- LifeMasters Supported SelfCare, Inc., a leading provider of health promotion and disease management programs and services, today announced the appointment of Charles A. Peck, M.D., F.A.C.P. as vice president and medical director, client experience. Dr. Peck will be responsible for working proactively with clients to optimize their health promotion and disease management offerings, as well as creating a client CMO advisory board -- designed to share and develop best practices between organizations that utilize health promotion and disease management programs.

"Dr. Peck's background within the hospital, physician, payor, employer and academic environments makes him uniquely qualified to interface with the diverse constituencies within our client and participant base," said Christobel Selecky, CEO of LifeMasters. Dr. Peck is an internist and rheumatologist and brings to LifeMasters more than 28 years of healthcare experience as a clinician, scientist, medical school faculty member, administrator, medical director, and partner in a worldwide healthcare consulting company. Prior to joining LifeMasters, Dr. Peck was chief medical officer of Take Care Health Systems, a convenient care clinic operator, for which he ran the medical department. He has also held positions as president, Southeast and Northeast Regions, healthcare delivery, Aetna; partner, Arthur Andersen Business Consulting Practice; regional medical director, Aetna Health Plans; executive medical and administrative director, University Suburban IPA; and associate clinical professor of medicine, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
