What: J.W. "Bill" Marriott, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Marriott
International, will lead Marriott employees from the Washington,
D.C. metro area in this year's torch relay to raise $1.25 million
for Children's Hospitals. He will be joined by Miss Maryland,
Miss DC Teen, and Miss DC. Two Miracle families who regularly use
services provided by children's hospitals will also be in
attendance. They will give brief remarks at the conclusion of the
race. Proceeds from the leg will go directly to children's
hospitals in Baltimore, Md. and Washington, D.C. through
Children's Miracle Network. Funds will support medical care,
equipment, preventive education, research and additional medical
