Centaur Arabian Farms Expands Facilities to Offer New Wedding and Event Venue in East Texas

Teenage sweethearts expand B&B facility on 10 acres outside Tyler to stage nuptials, host business meetings and retreats.

Tyler, TX (PRWEB) March 24, 2010 -- Centaur Arabian Farms, a bed and breakfast on 10 acres outside Tyler, is expanding its facilities to host weddings for 300 and business meetings and retreats on a smaller scale.

“We plan to finish the landscaping and construction soon and will start hosting events in April,” said co-owner Eva Sealey. She and husband Bill have operated a four-room B&B on their Flint, Texas, property since 2007. “We’re romantics at heart, and felt that growing our business to include hosting weddings was a natural move for us.”

The couple has added hundreds of rose bushes, flowering plums and other seasonal color to Centaur’s sprawling grounds, which already include oleander, magnolia, red oaks, pines, bald cypress and crepe myrtles. New construction undertaken includes a custom-designed, 700-square-foot pergola, and the remodeling of a 13-stall horse barn to accommodate indoor events.

“The barn will maintain its rustic feel. It’s just being made more comfortable for events,” Eva Sealey said. The couple’s six Arabian horses spend most of their time grazing on the farm’s back pasture and provide a pastoral backdrop for outdoor events held on an expansive lawn, or on the venue’s poolside patio.

Centaur Arabian farms offers numerous wedding packages, including a discounted package called “Operation Tie the Knot” for military couples. The Sealeys have partnered with professionals including area wedding planner Rhonda Boyette, caterers, musicians, photographers and others who provide wedding services. Additional amenities, ranging from carriage rides to a couple’s flight over East Texas following their ceremony, are also available.

The venue is also booking catered small business meetings, trainings and group retreats, which can be accommodated in the B&B’s common areas, on the grounds or in the barn. More details are available at
