Cell Press puts quality at your fingertips: Announcing the new Cell Press iPhone app -- Cell Alerts
Date:2/1/2011

Cell Press is delighted to announce the launch of its new iPhone app Cell Alerts, available to download for free at www.cell.com/iphone or http://bit.ly/fw9pbx.

Using Cell Alerts, it is now possible to keep up to date with the latest articles published in high impact research journals from Cell Press, including Cell, Neuron, Cell Stem Cell, Current Biology, and many more, from wherever and whenever the scientist chooses, completely free of charge.

By downloading the free app today, readers have easy access to informative text-based, graphical and voice summaries of articles in the newest issues available immediately upon publication. No journal subscription required. They can also search and mark article abstracts of interest to read once they're back in the lab.

Emilie Marcus, Editor (Cell) and Editor-in-Chief (Cell Press) commented, "With the launch of this app, we're pleased to offer those who already enjoy the benefits of reading Cell Press journals online, even greater flexibility and choice in how they can access our content."

Cell Press journals deliver the highest quality, cutting edge research, and whether it's to look for that new hot article, using either title or author name, or simply browsing the latest listings by journal or publication date, Cell Alerts offers that same quality experience.

As well as offering instant access to Cell Press research articles, Cell Alerts enables readers to view upcoming conferences on the move. The conference feature enables easy browsing through comprehensive upcoming conference listings which can be filtered by area of interest.

Cell Alerts has been developed in conjunction with Dartmouth Journal Services. Mike Hepp, Senior Technology Strategist at Dartmouth Journal Services said, "Dartmouth Journal Services is committed to developing technology-based solutions and services that help publishers keep pace with the changing demands of the publishing industry. Cell Press is a valued and long-time customer of ours. We were extremely excited to have them as our first mobile app customer."
