Auction Proceeds to Benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital(R)
NEW YORK, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Levitz Furniture, a leading specialty retailer of furniture, bedding and home furnishings, announced today that after a live online auction, its celebrity signed chair sold on charitybuzz.com for $1200. Backstage at this year's Daytime Emmys, Levitz Furniture's cream Reese Accent Chair was signed by 39 celebrities including Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Barbara Walters, Alex Trebeck, Betty White, Jerry Springer, Vivica A. Fox, Phil Donahue, Kim Zimmer, Anthony Geary and former American Idol star Constantine Maroulis. Through a partnership with Soap Opera Weekly, the chair was auctioned off with all of the proceeds going to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Partnering with Soap Opera Weekly, Levitz Furniture placed the signed chair up for bid in June. Over the past months, daytime fans, and Levitz customers alike flocked to charitybuzz.com to bid on this one-of-a-kind item.
