BENTON HARBOR, Mich., May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- A woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes, but finding breast cancer at an early stage greatly improves the chances of successful treatment. As a part of its ongoing Cook for the Cure(R) fundraising partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R), KitchenAid worked with Gourmet magazine to rally a group of celebrity chefs and their moms around the cause. Lidia Bastianich, Mario Batali and Sara Moulton appear in the May issue of Gourmet to raise awareness and give credit to the women who inspired them: their mothers. All three chefs signed a pink KitchenAid(R) Artisan(R) Series Stand Mixer, which is being auctioned on http://www.CharityFolks.com/CookfortheCure through May 15.
