Carometec’s Food Plant Sanitation Equipment Enhances Food Safety in Packaging Plants
Date:7/29/2013

stability is beneficial throughout the entire distribution chain.

Transportation is another critical component in controlling food safety and food loss standards. Programs that help to increase the amount of food that is reaching consumers are very cost-effective if implemented during harvest periods. By controlling food loss with state of the art transportation and cooling methods, a larger portion of products are able to successfully make it to market.

Uncontrollable food loss can also result from a variety of food regulations. Products may be required to meet certain size, shape and color standards in order to be deemed acceptable for human consumption. Waste is also generated on a retail level, through restaurant or hospitality entities as well as by consumers. The current approach to help reduce these types of losses is education regarding the economic and societal impact.

There is an expanding realization that development in food transportation, packaging, handling, storage, and processing has the ability to increase the health benefits and safety standards in the United States. These improvements can also help to reduce hunger on a global scale by increasing food production and stability.

About Carometec: Carometec’s food plant sanitation equipment can assist processing plants in meeting quality assurance needs and enhancing overall peace of mind.
