Caring.com has donated 1% of the company founders' stock to the foundation and has built a community involvement program for its employees to work with local eldercare service organizations.
"As a trusted online resource for people across the country caring for aging parents, it is our goal to also become a trusted partner to local community organizations who are working to help the senior population," said Andy Cohen, cofounder and CEO of Caring.com. "Our stock will one day fund a number of initiatives, and every three months our company will set aside a day when all employees can help a different service organization. We're grateful to the Entrepreneurs Foundation for making it easy for Caring.com to give back."
"Caring.com exemplifies the spirit of the Entrepreneurs Foundation. By including the community as a stakeholder in its success from inception, the company is imbedding an important value into the culture of the company that will last throughout the company's history. We're very excited to work with Caring.com in an effort to assist seniors and their families," stated Diane Solinger, executive director of Entrepreneurs Foundation.
