Career Step and Kapi'olani Community College of Honolulu are celebrating the fifth anniversary of their successful partnership by holding an Open House August 29.

Provo, Utah (PRWEB) August 25, 2009 -- Career Step, a leading online healthcare education company, and Kapi'olani Community College of Honolulu are celebrating the fifth anniversary of their successful partnership by holding an Open House August 29. The Open House will discuss the career opportunities available in the growing field of medical transcription.

"We're proud of our partnership with Kapi'olani Community College," said Cameron Loflin, Career Step's Vice President of Business Services. "Over the past five years, this partnership has helped many individuals improve their lives by training for new careers in medical transcription. The Open House will share that success and opportunity with others."

Kapi'olani Community College has been offering students the Career Step Medical Transcription program since September 2004. The program is offered entirely online and is based on Career Step's over 15 years of experience training quality medical transcriptionists. According to Elaine Chang, Kapi'olani Community College's Continuing Health Education Coordinator, the Career Step program is ideal for Kapi'olani students because of its flexibility.

"Kapi'olani has partnered with Career Step in order to provide the opportunity to receive vocational training to those who cannot leave their homes due to other obligations," said Ms. Chang.

The informational Open House will be held August 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the presentation taking place from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The event will be held at Kapi'olani Community College, 4303 Diamond Head Rd. Ohia Building Cafeteria, Honolulu. The session will provide more information to prospective students on the advantages of training
