This program was developed in collaboration with industry experts and employers to train Career Step graduates for careers in the growing medical coding and billing industry.

The new Medical Coding and Billing program builds upon an earlier medical coding career training program, released in 2004. The new program features expanded curriculum and enhancements, including training on medical billing procedures. Partnerships with industry experts and employers, as well as feedback and suggestions from more than 2,300 students who trained in the earlier course, helped shape the new program.
