Date:10/20/2009

TROY, Mich., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- CareTech Solutions (www.caretechsolutions.com), an information technology (IT) and web products and services provider for hospitals and health systems, was named to the Detroit Free Press Top Workplaces 2009 in the large company category.

At a time when many businesses are shrinking, CareTech Solutions has continued to grow rapidly, adding new business clients, expanding services and hiring more than 200 new employees in the past year. Headquartered in Troy, Michigan, CareTech Solutions employs more than 650 people in southeastern Michigan.

"The men and women of CareTech have played an integral part in creating the company we know today, they are our greatest asset," said Jim Giordano, president and CEO of CareTech Solutions. "The positive feedback from employees in this survey is another important indicator that together we're successfully growing a strong, vital organization."

CareTech Solutions growing from one customer in 1998 to a national presence today is in good part to employees embracing the company's "Whatever it Takes" motto. Employees who demonstrate outstanding dedication and service to their customers are honored with a "Whatever it takes" award from CEO Giordano. CareTech seeks to provide a future of professional growth and personal security through cross-training, educational reimbursement and promotion from within. The company conducts annual reviews to find new and innovative benefit programs that keep costs down and benefit levels high offering employees and their families benefit options in four different categories: Health and Wellness, Retirement and Savings, Time Away From Work and Beyond the Basics.

The Detroit Free Press Top Workplaces were selected through an annual survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics of Exton, Pa. This year's survey drew responses from 32,363 employees at 173 southeast Michigan companies. The survey questions covered employees' feelings on workplace factors such as work-life balance, honesty, values and ethics, growth opportunities and confidence in leadership among other issues. It also revealed what employees deemed "most important." Topping the list were factors showing that employees had faith that leadership was moving the company in the right direction, that employees were appreciated and that the organizations operated with strong values and ethics.
