CareTech Solutions Named 'Best in KLAS' for Extensive IT Outsourcing Services
Date:12/16/2008

TROY, Mich., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- CareTech Solutions, an information technology (IT) and Web products and services provider for hospitals and health systems, announced today that it has won a coveted 2008 Best in KLAS award for the IT Outsourcing (Extensive) market segment, as ranked by healthcare executives and professionals in the 2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards report, published this week by KLAS.

"As economic conditions become more challenging, healthcare providers are under tremendous pressure to make every investment -- and every dollar -- count," said KLAS President Adam Gale. "The Best in KLAS awards were created to help providers make smart buying decisions, allowing them to cut through the hype to identify companies, products and services that are the best-performing in the healthcare industry. The 2008 Best in KLAS honorees represent a select group of healthcare software and services vendors that have demonstrated leadership in working with customers to resolve issues and match expectations to reality."

CareTech's Best in KLAS distinction follows the company's achievement of market-leading overall performance scores in the Extensive IT Outsourcing 2008 study released in September by KLAS. CareTech's overall performance score was 94.6 on a 100-point scale -- the top score among six competing extensive IT outsourcing firms cited in the report, and the highest score KLAS has measured since first measuring extensive IT outsourcing performance in 2005.

"CareTech is very pleased to have won the prestigious Best in KLAS Award for extensive IT outsourcing, as rated by healthcare professionals across the industry," said Jim Giordano, President and CEO of CareTech Solutions. "CareTech's Best in KLAS status builds on our growing success in the healthcare IT industry, and validates our commitment to bringing together the IT tools, the expertise and the best practices needed to meet and exceed our
