HeartCentrix(R) ECG Informatics Makes Results from Burdick(R) and Quinton(R) branded products from Cardiac Science Accessible in MicroMD EMR

BOTHELL, Wash. and MELVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cardiac Science Corporation, (Nasdaq: CSCX), a leading provider of cardiac monitoring, defibrillation and rehabilitative products, and Henry Schein Medical Systems, the medical software division of Henry Schein, Inc., announced that the connection with HeartCentrix(R) ECG informatics system by Cardiac Science is complete. This connectivity enables the seamless transfer of Burdick(R) and Quinton(R) brand ECG, exercise stress and Holter monitoring results to version 5.0 of Henry Schein Medical Systems' electronic medical record (EMR) software, MicroMD(R) EMR.

The connection between Cardiac Science devices and MicroMD EMR will help physicians simplify diagnostic cardiology workflow in their offices by eliminating a source of data transcription errors, and will provide the physician a unified view of patient diagnostic data. With HeartCentrix ECG informatics, physicians have immediate access to electronically view or edit patients' test results and later retrieve data in MicroMD EMR.
