Card Scanning Solutions Inc. Releases Updated Card Image Capture Interface for IdScan® GO & MedicScan® GO Mobile Applications
Date:7/24/2013

ick, users can capture the image of the card on the mobile device. With the new interface, once the image of the card is captured, users no longer need to crop or deskew the captured image making the process with this mobile ID reader simple and quick. With OCR web services, OCR data extraction is performed as well as auto parsing of the image which also includes the extraction of the face and signature image from the card. IdScan® GO also supports driver's licenses from all across the globe and information is saved with the time and the date enabling one to keep updated records of vital ID information.

MedicScan® GO is also a mobile application and technology that scans, and processes medical insurance cards. This technology can easily be integrated into any PMS/EHR medical mobile application enabling one to turn their phone into a medical insurance card image capturing device to capture patient data quickly. With the latest updated card image capture interface, the presence of a card is automatically detected. MedicScan® GO is a native iOS technology and the image of the card can be captured using the camera of the mobile device. Since users no longer need to adjust the captured image, the workflow is reduced and simplified. The image is then sent to the cloud for OCR processing which includes data extraction from the image. The effective management of insurance card information is ideal for patient check-in, patient registration, patient data capture and billing processes in a wide range of medical facilities such as hospitals, clinics, practices, pharmacies and more. The benefits include an efficient workflow, reduced costs and time, increased productivity and enhanced patient care.
