Capital Gold Group Donates to American Red Cross Disaster Relief for Victims of Southern California Wildfires
Date:9/17/2009

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Responding to the need for assistance for the victims of the Southern California Station wildfire, Capital Gold Group, Inc. has made a corporate donation to support the much needed efforts of the Red Cross.

The Station wildfire, one of the largest in Southern California history, is now 93 percent contained. With over 250 square miles burned and 78 homes destroyed, hundreds of people were evacuated from their homes. The Red Cross provided shelter, meals, and other necessities for evacuees. These shelters also provided a place where those who had fled their homes could find emotional support.

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free and is made possible by voluntary donations of time and money. A financial gift to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance. Even in the most unpredictable conditions, those in need can rely on the Red Cross.

The Red Cross also created "The Red Cross Safe and Well" website which offers a way for evacuees to keep in touch with loved ones who live outside the fire affected areas to let friends and extended family know they are safe.

In previous years, Capital Gold Group has responded to victims of earthquakes and floods, both here and overseas, contributing to the Red Cross relief efforts needed for the victims of flooding and tornadoes in June of 2008, which reached out across seven states, from Kansas to West Virginia. In May of 2008, Capital Gold Group also donated to the China Earthquake Relief Effort in response to the 7.8 earthquake in Sichuan Province that left a death toll of over 50,000.

The company is urging socially responsible individuals and corporations to support the relief effort for those affected by the current wildfires in California, by donating to the American Red Cross
