Capital BlueCross Sponsors Healthy Community Pharmacy's Move to New Community-Focused Location in York

ew space in the Family First Health Center is fully renovated, large enough to permit private consultation with Pharmacy staff, and easily accessible by public transportation. In addition, patients who seek care at the Family First Health Center can now have their prescriptions filled during their visit to the Center.

Trisha Rudisill, the Pharmacy's Lead Pharmacist, noted that "we increased the size of the pharmacy to over 900 square feet, which gives us plenty of room to grow. And, we drastically changed our workflow, which has increased our efficiency. We are filling more prescriptions, but have managed to keep our wait times to about 20 minutes."

In its last six weeks of operations at the Roosevelt Avenue location, the Healthy Community Pharmacy filled approximately 137 prescriptions per day. At the new location, the Pharmacy is filling an average of 170 prescriptions per day. The increase results from the accessibility of the Pharmacy and to its new design that incorporates a more efficient workflow.
