Capital BlueCross Acquires Dominion Dental

- Transaction adds 400,000 members and brings Blue branded dental plan to central Pennsylvania (Lehigh Valley) -

HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital BlueCross announced today that it is acquiring Dominion Dental Services, a privately held corporation headquartered in Alexandria, VA. The move by the region's leading health insurer adds nearly 400,000 members throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Dominion currently offers dental benefit plans in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Various regulatory approvals are required before the transaction can be finalized.
