Farmington Hills, MI (PRWEB) October 21, 2013
Area corporate and civic leaders from Canton organizations will be on hand to cut a Coney to open the new National Coney Island (NCI) Canton store at 11:30 am on Tuesday, October 22. The Canton Chamber of Commerce and the Canton Downtown Development Authority will also participate in the opening.
The new restaurant will offer a new menu and a chic décor. This is the 21st location for National Coney Island, bringing over 70 new jobs to Canton.
The new restaurant will be at 45250 Ford Rd. (across from Meijer’s), the restaurants menu will feature all the NCI classics, plus some unique menu items and chef-driven specials. The smaller, limited menu will present new twists on common favorites.
“We want to keep the brand relevant in today’s changing marketplace,” said Tom Giftos, president of NCI. “Besides the new menu, we are also adding new décor such as flooring, wall coverings, furniture, lighting, including a new exterior. This is a complete renovation.”
Giftos said the new site has 140 seats, is 5,000 square feet, and is the first store National Coney Island has opened in seven years. This restaurant also has free Wi-Fi for the customers.
“We have added key personnel: marketing, IT and quality control directors, plus a new CFO,” said Giftos. “We are vetting out markets and methods for further expansion and are looking at a major growth push. Our stores are mostly on the east side, but now we’re looking at the rest of the area as well.”
