Phase One of $6.5 Million Renovation is Open
PHOENIX, April 1, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- The award winning Camelback Village Racquet & Health Club has replaced Garcias' refried beans and rice with 16,000 square feet of healthy Exercise Rooms, a Pilates Studio, Spa and adult-only lounge overlooking the refinished championship tennis court and pristine Camelback Mountain, bringing the total square feet of the Club to 86,000.
The new expansion houses a new entrance to the Club and Spa, three Group Exercise Rooms; two for general group exercise classes, and a Mind/Body Studio specifically for yoga classes. There is a new Pilates Studio, to be utilized for Pilates instruction on reformers. There is also a retail area with the latest fitness clothing and high-end fashions. The new expansion also encompasses a new Spa, which is approximately 4,000 square feet. The Spa features three manicure and three pedicure stations, located in a serene separate space. There are two hair stations for hair cutting, styling, shampooing and coloring. In addition, the Spa has four separate treatment rooms, to be utilized for the latest in massages, facials, and body wraps. To make sure Spa-goers are completely relaxed there are two separate relaxation rooms, one for quiet relaxation, and another for socializing. The Spa is available for anyone in the Valley to refresh, relax and renew themselves, membership to the Club is not required. An added benefit of utilizing the Village Spa is anyone who receives a one-hour treatment can use the entire Club the day of treatment, from group exercise classes, cardio equipment, weight training, tennis, squash, racquetball, as well as child care.
