CamelBak(R) CEO Statement on BPA and Plastic Re-Usable Water Bottles
Date:4/9/2008

PETALUMA, Calif., April 9 /PRNewswire/ --

CamelBak is pleased to announce that our complete line of re-usable water bottles will be 100% BPA-free by the end of April, 2008. First to market in January with a BPA-free bottle offering clarity, durability and vibrant color, CamelBak will have an entirely BPA-free product line in North America. The line includes four styles: the CamelBak Better Bottle(TM) with Bite Valve, the CamelBak Better Bottle(TM) with Classic Cap, the CamelBak Podium(TM) Bottle and the CamelBak Performance(TM) Bottle.

The science surrounding BPA (bisphenol-A) can be confusing and contradictory. While we believe in the safety of all our products, enough consumers requested a BPA-free alternative that we re-engineered our bottles with an innovative new material to provide consumers with worry-free hydration.

Each year, Americans dispose of over 50 billion plastic water bottles. Only a fraction of those are recycled. Using a re-usable water bottle is an easy way for anyone to make a positive environmental impact. Using a CamelBak Better Bottle means that they can do so without having to worry about BPA.
