Cambridge House of Swansea Affordable Assisted Living to Host Tailgating Party

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) August 29, 2013

Cambridge House of Swansea, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Rams Tailgating Party from noon to 2 p.m. on Sept. 15.

The community, which is located at 3900 Sullivan Dr. in Swansea, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

The St. Louis Rams will take on the Atlanta Falcons just as the Cambridge House tailgating party begins.

Tailgating food, including hot dogs, potato salad, nachos and brownies, will be served.

The event is free and open to football fans.

For more information, call 618-234-8910.

Cambridge House of Swansea is one of three Cambridge House affordable assisted living communities in the St. Louis Metro East area. The other Cambridge House communities are located in Maryville and O’Fallon, Illinois.

“We offer older adults a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or struggling alone at home,” says Bohannon-Smith.

The communities combine residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services.

Residents live in private apartments that they furnish and decorate to their tastes. Each of the one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in activities and special programs,” says Bohannon-Smith.

The Cambridge House affordable assisted living communities are certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and managed by BMA Management, of Bradley, Illinois. BMA Management is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

“Our focus,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, “is to provide residents of the Cambridge House communities with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve and the help and assistance they need. Our emphasis is on helping each resident achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.”

Communities managed by BMA include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Benton, Flora, McLeansboro and Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

BMA also manages the Prairie Living affordable assisted living community in Carbondale.
