California Drug Rehab Facility Completes Comprehensive Remodeling Project

Michael's House, the prominent California drug rehab facility located in Palm Springs, California has recently completed work on a comprehensive remodeling project that promises to improve not only the décor of the facility, but the overall recovery experience as well.

Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) November 23, 2008 -- The remodeling project, which took nearly a year and half to complete, has not only modernized the décor of the progressive California drug rehab facility, but also made it a more serene, comfortable destination by upgrading the desert-inspired landscaping with soothing fountains and quiet meditation areas. The upgrade also includes more amenities such as leather couches and large, flat-screen plasma televisions in the lounge areas.

The structure where Michael's House now resides was built in the 1920's as a luxury resort for wealthy weekenders coming out to the desert from Hollywood and greater Los Angeles. It was converted into an alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility in the mid 1990's when founder Arlene Rosen's son died tragically of a drug overdose.

Current Michael's House CEO and world-renowned addiction expert Alan Downs sees the changes as much more than merely cosmetic, "We have found time and again that a person's surroundings play a key role in their recovery from addiction. So of course we decided to spare little expense when it came time to make the grounds and living quarters at Michael's House more spacious, more comfortable and more conducive to healing."
