California Company Slings Mud for Breast Cancer Awareness
Date:10/3/2007

MORAGA, Calif., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ Awakening(R) Mineral Therapies for Healthy Skin, a boutique formulator of naturally mineral-rich skin care products, is slinging mud in support of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A maximum of 20 spas and salons across California are invited to participate in a mud-fest for cancer awareness.

The company's patented mud masque, Awakening SCALP(TM), helps to stimulate follicle roots and scalp tissue. "An Awakening SCALP masque regimen is an exquisite indulgence. Our Awakening products are available at spas throughout the west, such as Mii amo, A Destination Spa at Enchantment in Sedona, AZ, recognized by Travel + Leisure Magazine's readers as the 2007 'Number 1 Spa in the World'," notes Awakening president, Rob Hardwicke.

Awakening will ship a free case of Awakening SCALP (a quantity of product sufficient for 60 treatments) to each of the first 20 spas, day spas and salons in California that agree to offer the product as treatments to breast cancer patients during October at no charge. "We believe breast cancer post-chemo recovery patients deserve some serious pampering. What better way than with a complimentary 'Mini-spa' mani/pedi/scalp package," comments Ms. Tam Nguyen, the company's VP-Operations. "The naturally rich magnesium content in SCALP helps to dilate capillaries in the scalp, thereby sending more blood to the hair roots -- we call it essentially 'irrigating and fertilizing the crop.' Every one of Awakening's lotions, balms and masques is a proprietary formulation hand-crafted at our lab in Caesarea, Israel," Nguyen adds.

Any interested retail spa or salon willing to offer free treatments to breast cancer patients in support of October Breast Cancer Awareness month is invited to contact Awakening Mineral Therapies at 800-200-6546 or via the company's web site at http://www.awakeningskincare.com through October 10, 2007 to receive a
