CVS/pharmacy Re-Opens 64 Stores in Louisiana

All stores in other Gulf Coast states are open CVS/pharmacy will also donate water, ice, diapers and baby wipes to local

communities impacted by Hurricane Gustav

WOONSOCKET, R.I., Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- CVS/pharmacy today announced that 64 store locations in Louisiana have re-opened since Hurricane Gustav in the following cities and towns:

Abbeville

Alexandria

Baton Rouge

Bogalusa

Bossier City

Broussard

Covington

Cutoff

Destrehan

Franklinton

Gonzales

Hammond

Harvey

Haughton

Houma

Kenner

Lake Charles

Lafayette

Mandeville

Marksville

Metairie

Minden

Monroe

New Iberia

New Orleans

Opelousas

Pineville

Ponchatoula

Raceland

Rayne

River Ridge

Slidell

Sulphur

Shreveport

Thibodaux

West Monroe

Walker

All of CVS/pharmacy's locations in Mississippi, Alabama, Texas and the Florida panhandle are open.

CVS/pharmacy also announced that it is donating more than 5,000 PLAYSKOOL Baby Care brand diapers and over 14,000 baby wipes to Save the Children for their Hurricane Gustav relief efforts in Louisiana.

In addition, CVS/pharmacy will donate ice and water to local residents at select stores in Baton Rouge on Thursday and in Baton Rouge, Houma and Kenner on Friday. Two bags of ice and two gallons of water per person at each location will be available while supplies last.

-- On Thursday, September 4, donations will take place in the CVS/pharmacy

parking lot located at 5360 Highland Rd. in Baton Rouge beginning at

3:00 PM CST.

-- On Friday, September 5, donations will take place in the CVS/pharmacy

parking lots at:

-- 3384 Government St. in Baton Rouge at 10:00 AM CST

-- 7015 West Park Ave. in Houma at 3:00 PM CST
