CVS Caremark Partners with Google Health to Provide Consumers with Online Access to their Prescription History through Caremark.com

mport their prescription information from http://www.caremark.com into their Google Health account. In order to maintain patient privacy, the consumer making the request for information will need to be authenticated on the caremark.com Web site before any data is shared with Google Health.

CDPHP was founded and guided by physicians in 1984 as a not-for-profit individual practice association (IPA) model Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) in Albany, NY. CDPHP and its affiliates currently serve members in 29 counties throughout New York State and seven counties in Vermont.

CVS Caremark has been involved with Google Health since it was launched in May 2008. At the time of launch, patients who received treatment at MinuteClinic locations in Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tennessee were able to securely import their visit summaries into their Google Health accounts. MinuteClinic is the retail-based health clinic subsidiary of CVS Caremark, and this function has been rolled out nationwide to the more than 500 MinuteClinic locations in 25 states. In addition, by the end of the year, consumers who fill their prescriptions at a CVS/pharmacy, or on http://www.cvs.com, will also be able to securely import their prescription histories into Google Health.
