CURE Media Group Joins Forces with Upstage Lung Cancer in Advocacy Partnership Program
Date:12/8/2016

CURE Media Group, the nation’s leading digital and print media enterprise focused on cancer patients, cancer centers and advocacy groups, has aligned with Upstage Lung Cancer in efforts to combat lung cancer, announced CURE Media Group President Michael J. Hennessy, Jr.

In making the announcement, Michael J. Hennessy, Jr said, “CURE Media Group is honored to team up with Upstage Lung Cancer in order to make major strides in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.”

Founded in 2008 by lung cancer survivor Hildy Grossman, Upstage Lung Cancer is the only charity to solely use music and preforming arts to raise awareness for lung cancer by holding regular performances, with the proceeds being donated to lung cancer research.

Lung cancer continues to be the leading cancer killer in the U.S., with over 158,000 deaths expected in 2016, according to the American Lung Association. Upstage Lung Cancer’s main objective is to raise funds for research and innovation for early detection and diagnosis of lung cancer. In its continuing efforts, Upstage Lung Cancer has already raised $1.8 million in lung cancer funds and has a goal of raising detection and diagnosis rates by 50% by 2025.
