USA Gastroenterology is an academic division of the Department of Medicine whose mission is teaching, research, and patient care. The division is responsible for teaching gastrointestinal, nutritional, and hepatology physiology and pathophysiology to medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as to attending physicians for continuing education. Supervised consultation concerning digestive disorders is available throughout the Academic Health Center at USA Medical Center, Infirmary West, USA Children's and Women's Hospital, and their private practice located within the Digestive Health Center at Infirmary West.
