CRH Medical introduces non surgical hemorroid removal to Gastroenterology Fellowship program

VANCOUVER, June 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - CRH Medical Corporation (CRM:TSX-V) announced today that the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile Alabama has completed a training program involving its Teaching Faculty and Gastroenterology Fellows on the non surgical removal of hemorrhoids using the CRH O'Regan Banding Technology. Commenting on the incorporation of this training program into its Fellowship Program, University of South Alabama Professor of Medicine, Dr. Jack Di Palma said "This program enhances our training curriculum and enhances our Fellowship education program. I would encourage other Fellowship Programs to take advantage of it. Our Fellows enjoyed the training, and will continue to put these skills to good use as their careers progress." Dr Di Palma further stated "Hemorrhoids used to be a nuisance; we now have a proven treatment modality that benefits our patients as well as our practices."

There are currently 162 Fellowship Programs operating in the US. CRH is making this same educational program available to each of these Fellowship Programs. The Company believes that a partnership between itself and gastroenterologists allow for an outstanding continuum of care for patients.
