VANCOUVER, May 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - CRH Medical Corporation (CRM:TSX-V) announced today that it has opened a Center for Colorectal Health in Dallas TX. This Center is the Company's first in the Dallas area, one of many new markets that CRH has targeted for expansion. The opening of the Dallas location represents the 5th new Center opened in 2008 bringing the Company's total number of Centers to 13.
According to the National Institute of Health, the prevalence rate of hemorrhoids in the US is about 4.4% of the population. Approximately 50% of the U.S. population will develop hemorrhoids by age 50. The Company plans to significantly increase the number of Centers for Colorectal Health across the U.S. to address this underserved market.
