CNSI Selects Edifecs Healthcare Accelerator Suite(TM) for MMIS Solution to Support South Dakota Medicaid Program
Date:11/26/2008

BELLEVUE, Wash., Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Edifecs, Inc., the leader in B2B solutions for transaction interoperability, announced today that CNSI has selected the Edifecs Healthcare Accelerator Suite to support the development and implementation of a new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) for the South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS). The Edifecs Healthcare Accelerator Suite will help automate data validation in both real-time and batch modes for CNSI's next-generation Healthcare payer platform, eCAMS 2.0(R). This platform will assist the State of South Dakota in building a robust healthcare IT infrastructure, providing end-to-end business process automation and real-time actionable data to eliminate inefficiencies.

In choosing Edifecs' solutions, CNSI maintains its commitment to bringing technological advancements to the healthcare industry and a dedication to providing quality services to its customers by promoting collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring mechanisms of enhanced transparency, and supporting continuous innovations in delivery and payment models.

"Our eCAMS 2.0 features Web-centric architecture and rules-based engine processing that is fully aligned with the Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) framework," said CNSI's Senior Vice President Arvinder Singh. "Our goal is to support the modernization of the State agency with this new architectural approach. Combining Edifecs and CNSI technology suites creates powerful benefits for DSS, including faster and more reliable claims adjudication, improvements in payment accuracy, customer service and fraud prevention, real-time online access for providers who need to determine claim status, and the ability to perform analytics and disease management. We look forward to working with Edifecs in helping the State deliver better quality healthcare to its Medicaid beneficiaries."
