CMPMedica Signs an Agreement With MAIDIS for e-prescribing Solutions in Abu Dhabi (UAE)

LONDON, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- CMPMedica, the global healthcare information provider which is a division of United Business Media Limited, has signed an agreement with MAIDIS, the international healthcare software vendor, to provide an integrated medicine management system for two hospitals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

CMPMedica's Integrated Data Solutions are already used in approximately 700 hospitals in France, 120 in Germany and Eastern Europe, and over 80 across the Asia Pacific region. These solutions, combined with local data in Arabic, will power MAIDIS' e-prescribing software and Electronic Medical Record in the UAE. The integration of CMPMedica's data will help healthcare professionals in the UAE to embrace their expanding roles and meet the changing needs of their hospitals. Overall medicine management will also be improved by access to better prescribing documentation and traceability.

As a result of this agreement, healthcare professionals using MAIDIS software will have access to an accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date drug reference base. In addition MAIDIS users will have access to a world class set of advanced decision support tools that provide alerts and information regarding interactions, allergy, contra-indications, over-dosage and many other aspects of medicines use.

CMPMedica and MAIDIS have been partners in France since 2004 and are expanding their relationship in the Middle East as demand for e-prescribing solutions grows.
