LOS ANGELES, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Hurricane Katrina was one of the five deadliest storms in United States history and was the costliest (at an estimated $86 billion.) The total fatalities were estimated at 1,836, including flooding in the aftermath. Witnessing the destruction/displacement from the West Coast, CJ (of CJ's Functional Fitness) has been inspired to take his new school training techniques, with old school parental inspirations, to counsel the survivors.
CJ's Functional Fitness is about your body being able to perform in a variety of extreme physical environments. He'll take the key components of his program: natural strength, flexibility (range of motion), speed, conditioning, endurance, and healthy eating, showing the survivors of Hurricane Katrina how to improve their physical and mental-emotional well being. He'll provide the essential tools needed to enhance their own spirituality, through fitness, while coping with their individual situations.
CJ will start a MySpace page that will help him grow his business and spawn other businesses for those survivors who wish to carry on his legacy of Functional Fitness.

Who is CJ?
Cleon Joseph, aka. CJ is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, an IFPA Certified Personal Trainer; he is a California P.O.S.T. Certified Trainer, and is the CEO and Founder of CJ's Functional Fitness and Self-Defense, LLC., who has devoted his life to helping.
CJ bases his fitness program from years of fitness/specialty training. He developed a deeper desire for fitness after competing in an all natural body building show in the 90s. He's a 4th degree black-belt and Master instructor in Tae Moo Do. He's also a 1st Degree Black Belt in Synuces Ryu Jitsu.
CJ is well versed in ground fighting and has been training under champions, such as the UFC veteran Joe "Ghetto Man" Charles and cage fighting champ "Ahmad Reese." He's a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, under Joe Morriera.
CJ shares his knowledge with thousands of law enforcement officers, at California academies, and abroad. He's a teacher of self-defense college courses and has worked in VIP protection for Kobe Bryant, and the Los Angeles Lakers. He provided VIP protection for a Victoria's Secret model at a major event. He's also worked as the lead, in VIP protection for the Grammy's, Emmy's, and BET Music Awards.
CJ's Functional Fitness encompasses all of the exercises, education,
and training methods learned throughout his Fitness and Martial Arts
