CFO magazine Wins Excellence in Financial Journalism Award

CFO Publishing announced today that Randy Myers, contributing editor of CFO magazine, won an Excellence in Financial Journalism Award from the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 29, 2010 -- CFO Publishing announced today that Randy Myers, contributing editor of CFO magazine, won an Excellence in Financial Journalism Award from the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Judged by a panel of members of the NYSSCPA and the New York Financial Writers’ Association, these awards are given to articles that best contribute to a better understanding of business topics. The award will be presented at the Journalism Awards Luncheon at the Yale Club in New York City on May 4.

Myers’s award-winning article, “Taxed to the Max,” appeared in CFO magazine’s March 2009 issue. It focuses on how federal tax policy is hampering the global competitiveness of U.S. companies.

A veteran journalist with more than 30 years of experience, Myers is recognized for translating complex and often confusing business topics into accessible and compelling language. He covers topics ranging from investing, insurance, and pension management to corporate finance and corporate governance. “We’re very proud of Randy and honored to have him on our team,” said Julia Homer, chief content officer of CFO Publishing. “This award acknowledges his hard work and dedication to delivering important and timely information to our readers.”
