CE Lectures on the Dental Treatment of Snoring and Sleep Apnea Include Rochester, Cleveland and Ft. Lauderdale, as Sleep Seminar Destinations
Date:8/9/2013

Rochester, NY (PRWEB) August 09, 2013

With over 80 Million  people undiagnosed with OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea), it's assumed more physicians would increase OSA screenings and treatment options for symptomatic patients.  Interestingly enough, dentists are among the small group of practitioners stepping up, to take on the sleepy killer, OSA.   Dental sleep medicine expert, Dr. Michael Hnat lectures for Sleep Group Solutions, and instructs other dentists how to implement a proper sleep protocol, structured around evidence-based knowledge. Dr. Michael Hnat’s upcoming Dental Sleep Medicine lectures include Rochester (8/23-24), Cleveland (9/6-7), Irvine (9/20-21), Ft. Lauderdale (10/25-26) and Chicago (12/13-14).

Dentists from around the world are attending dental continuing education courses focusing on the dental treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Dental sleep medicine education company, Sleep Group Solutions has instructed thousands of dentists on implementing a proper sleep protocol. Dr. Michael Hnat, a dentist in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, screens and treats patients for sleep apnea in his general dentist practice, Progressive Dental Solutions.  “Research  indicates that ninety-percent of individuals with the disease (OSA) are still undiagnosed.  Dentists-qualified in sleep medicine can custom fabricate a simple device worn over the teeth that keeps the tongue from blocking the airway allowing for adequate  breathing and oxygen levels while asleep.” says Dr. Hnat,
