Cited as Most Effective Disease Management Program for Fourth Consecutive Year

Albany, N.Y. (Vocus) October 2, 2009 -- For the fourth consecutive year, CDPHP® has been recognized for offering the best disease management program in upstate New York by Health Industries Research Companies (HIRC), a national, independent research organization serving the health care industry. Fewer than six percent of U.S. health plans profiled in the report are honored consecutively.

"As a health value plan dedicated to the pursuit of wellness for its members, CDPHP is honored to be recognized alongside some of the nation's leading health plans for its disease management efforts," said John D. Bennett, MD, president and CEO, CDPHP. "We are committed to seeking ways to assist our members--across all product lines--in managing their medical conditions."

HIRC's Ninth Annual Report on the Disease Management Industry profiles the leading disease management organizations (DMOs), assesses their growth trends, indicates their current partnerships, provides recommendations for future opportunities, and recognizes best current programs among health plans, employers, and vendors.
