Washington, D.C. (Vocus) May 5, 2010 -- The former head of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Mark B. McClellan, MD, PhD, The Hotline’s Editor-in-Chief Amy Walter, and PBS NewsHour’s Mark Shields will join policymakers at the College of American Pathologists’ 2010 Policy Meeting to assess the pathologists’ transforming role as health care reform implementation gets underway.

The myriad of changes impacting the pathology community right now—from regulations regarding self-referral and the future of CLIA to new payment models—will also be confronted by industry leaders. The meeting will begin on Monday, May 10, at 8am, and conclude the morning of Wednesday, May 12. The meeting will be held at the Marriott Metro Center on 775 12th St., NW, in Washington, DC.
