Businesses, Community Leaders Invited to Come Together to Examine the Rising Cost of Healthcare

Teva Pharmaceuticals Hosting Second Business Roundtable as part of the Year of Affordable Healthcare Campaign

CHICAGO, June 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- According to Families USA, between 2007 and 2008, nearly one out of three people in Illinois under the age of 65 went without health insurance. In an effort to bring awareness to the healthcare issues facing everyday Americans, on June 30, 2009, Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, the leading generic pharmaceutical company, is hosting a roundtable forum on increasing healthcare access in Chicago, Illinois. The event will be the second in a series of roundtables being hosted by the company across the country as part of the company's Year of Affordable Healthcare Campaign (www.yearofaffordablehealth.com).

Media are invited to join Chicago-area community organizations, thought leaders, businesses, and government officials discuss need for more affordable healthcare and medicine for Americans nationwide. The event will be moderated by Pam Gilbert, Partner at Cuneo Gilbert & LaDuca and former Executive Director of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
